I did some research on this a couple of weeks ago, and the first private members bill was for two years, in line with Scotland. Then, as you say, when it moved to the Equalities bill, it appeared to be down to 12 months. Now, it appears to be six months. <BR/><BR/>Six months is not just useless, it's a step backward.
